OVERVIEW

Premise

A Sanguine Ledger is an adventure game set as a prequel to Bram Stoker's Dracula. Over the course of multiple chapters, the player takes on the role of multiple professionals hired by a reclusive count to aid communities in his region of Transylvania.

The count, noting a duty to the people despite the fact that they are no longer his subjects, has been keeping an eye on the development and decline of the communities around him. As the months and years go by, he records their progress in a ledger, worried by downturn in some areas but glad that growth in others balances out.

Lately, however, his ledger has been in the red, and he has grown quite concerned.

In A Sanguine Ledger, you will:

• Interlope in the problems of an unfamiliar community, and experience the locals' skepticism and consternation.
• Investigate those problems through communication, exploration, puzzles, and careful attention to detail.
• Pursue a select few paths of investigation in the limited time you have, and hope that you chose wisely.
• Write letters to colleagues and loved ones back home about the breathtaking landscape; the warmth and hospitality of the locals; the confounding, ever-expanding mystery that you hope to solve a small part of, lest the thin membrane of your sanity give way to a gaping pit of despair; and the wonderfully spiced chicken you had for dinner last night, the recipe for which you must remember to ask the innkeeper.
• Wonder if you should listen to that small, nagging thought in the back of your mind which tells you that you just came frighteningly close to meeting your end and begs you to run.
